3 Minutes of Daily Mindfulness

Has the thought of being more in tune with your emotions and intuitions been on your mind lately? Being Mindful is truly something of importance and can help you find balance in the present.

If the idea of squeezing any more activities out of your already busy schedule makes you feel uneasy, you are in the right place. You will need less than 5 minutes to accomplish this.

These 3 Mindful journal prompts can be completed in 3 minutes or less, every day, to ensure that your goal of being conscious is met.

Prompt #1
“Today I intend to align my actions, thoughts, and words with…”

Use 3 values to write out how you will align your action, thoughts, and words for the day.

Example: Today I intend to align my actions, thoughts, and words with faith, happiness, and honesty. I plan to be more genuine, honest and not let anything get in the way of my happiness. Today I choose to have faith even when I run into bad times, and I wish to encourage others to keep faith too.

Prompt #2
Write our 5 sentences starting with this prompt: “Today I am grateful for…”

Here are a few examples: Today I am grateful for my health. Today I am grateful to for the blessing of having food and water. Today I am grateful for the opportunity to work toward my goals. Today I am grateful for my family and friends who surround me. Today I am grateful for the roof over my head.

If you want to go more in-depth, go into detail as to why you are grateful for each of the things you have listed.

Today I am grateful for the roof over my head as it provides more than shelter, it provides a safe place for my family and friends to make memories in.

Prompt #3
“Tonight when I go to sleep, I intend to feel like I…”
How do you want to feel at the end of the day? Most of us will not answer tired or worn out, but rather accomplished or refreshed.
Setting up how you want the day to end will help guide your entire day until this moment.

Write out how you want to feel when you lay down for bed or how you want your emotional state to be. Keep this in your mind as you go through each hour of the day.

Mindful Journey
The path to being mindful is not something that once you get there you are done. Being mindful is something we must practice over and over again. So grab your journal and set aside your 3 minutes for these mindful prompts.
